Sisyrinchium idahoense, commonly called Idaho blue-eyed grass, features delicate grass- or iris-like leaves and charming star-shaped flowers with six tepals in shades of blue to lavender-blue. Blooming consecutively from late spring through summer, it is an excellent choice for edging paths, enhancing borders, or adding interest to rock gardens and containers. This species is native to western North America, including British Columbia.
