The Arthur Bedford Rhododendron features openly funnel-shaped, fragrant flowers with pale mauve tubes and darker lobes marked by a brownish-red blotch. These blossoms cluster in dome-shaped trusses containing 11 to 16 flowers. Its glossy, dark green leaves are supported by reddish-purple stems, and the plant exhibits an open, upright growth habit. This variety is tolerant of sun exposure.
