Geranium himalayense grandiflorum, also known as Geranium grandiflorum, is a captivating herbaceous perennial belonging to the Geraniaceae family. This plant is native to the Himalayan region and is cherished for its exquisite charm and resilience. It grows in a rhizomatous manner, forming dense mats that create a stunning groundcover effect. The plant reaches a height of up to 18 inches  and spreads about 24 inches wide. Its deeply cut palmate leaves add texture and visual interest, and they undergo a mesmerizing colour transformation during autumn, enchanting observers with hues of autumnal beauty. The flowers are composed of five petals and come in shades of violet to blue-purple, often with darker veins. They bloom from late spring to early summer and attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
